Today the company is based in Dover and employs around 250 members of staff. George Hammond PLC are a Lloyd's sub-Agent for the county of Kent, corporate members of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, the Baltic & International Maritime Council and the International Transport Intermediaries Club. Since 1993 the company's Port and Marine Services division have been accredited with the prestigious ISO 9001-2000 standard, assuring quality of service and product.
The company has also recently been accredited as an Authorised Economic Operator (AEOF) by HM Revenue and Customs.
